Teaching Methods
The methods in Secondary Laboratory School Benguet State University based on situation of the class. Every classes have different condition. The teachers can choose the method that will be used during the lesson. In my class, grade 10, the teacher used the discussion learning, inquiry learning, presentation, and the task/assignment for assessment. The purpose of the methods is that the students should be active in the class, not only just listening, but also doing. “Learning By Doing” . Sometimes, teacher ask questions and give it task based group discussion for increase and elaborate their opinion and build their confident for speaking in front of the class.
Learning Materials and Innovation
The materials based on curriculum K-12. Teacher can add other materials like pictures, chart, video, story telling, and etc. Teacher also give some assignment. For example, give instruction for making a poster about the earthquakes. After that, the students have to present their task in front of the class. It means that, the teacher want to know how far the creativity of the students and it can foster the innovation of the students that what should they do before or after the earthquakes.
Sources Of Learning and Technology
Sources of learning are from books, module, worksheets and internet . The teacher also use learning media with technology such as projector, video, and every class have televisions. The students can use the virtual library.
Authentic Assessment
The authentic assesment in Benguet State University are examinations for all students
in the same time like middle test and final test.
