Thursday Be Like

On August 16, I went to BSU-SLS at 7:30 am. We did the flag raising ceremony at the gymnasium due to heavy rain. I had three class observations that day.

Flag Ceremony

      This day was my first day of teaching and I got nervous. My first topic was about Plate Tectonics. I taught in Grade 10-1, 10-2, 10-3. I explained the different of the structures of the earth and the different major tectonic plates also, discuss about the layers of the earth. I shown a video about Plate Tectonics. I used audio and visual for teaching them.

      After that, I let them open their books and remained about this materials for seven minutes. And then, I gave an individual assessment to test their knowledge about this topic. I decided this class by grouping and divided into nine groups that consists of four students . But, every students did it individually. I used an Exe-learning application for their activity. It consists of ten questions relating to the topic. After twenty minutes, they already finished their assessment and after that, they exchanged their answers to the other groups and I give it time for checking their answers. The result of their assessment was average because most of them got almost the same score.

I did the same with the other two classes, grade 10.2 and 10.3.

     After I finished my class, Me and my companions went to CTE- Function hall to celebrate Indonesia Independence Day (August 17). We celebrated it on the sixteenth day of August because we must take a video so that we will just share and upload our video on August, 17 2018. We had our pictures together with some of the CTE- staff, SLS- teachers and some our buddies.

     Around 5:00 pm we went to the dorm and we had a short meeting. The topic was all about the design of our jacket. After that, we cooked for our dinner.
